DERMATOLOGY · START WITH UNDERSTANDING

A PERSONAL STARTING POINT

Skin care should start with your skin.

Adult acne and everyday skin concerns affect women and men. The same-looking concern can have different causes. What you have noticed, where it appears, and your past experience help a clinician consider the next step.

Your routine, past treatments, and changes across life stages matter. Tell a clinician about relevant medicines, pregnancy, plans for pregnancy, or breastfeeding before discussing treatment. Care should account for the person as well as the skin concern.

UNDERSTAND WHAT COMES NEXT

A little more direction.

01

Start with the concern

Describe what you’ve noticed, where it appears, and how long it’s been on your mind.

02

Understand topical care

For acne, treatment may include products applied to the skin. The approach depends on the type and severity of acne.

03

Consider the wider picture

Oral medicines may be considered for some acne cases. A clinician weighs your health, past care, and potential side effects.

KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT

A clearer picture. One photo at a time.

The skin intake asks for an optional wider photo and a close-up. Illustrated examples explain the framing, even lighting, and focus to aim for.

Use sample images in this preview. Files are format-checked and discarded. Clinical photo storage and review are not connected.

Try the skin intake ↗

On your mind.

Will this tell me which skin condition I have?

No. The intake organizes a conversation; it does not diagnose a condition or decide whether a treatment is suitable.

What should the photos show?

A wider view shows where the concern appears. A close-up shows the detail, with a little surrounding skin. The intake provides guidance one image at a time.

Can every skin concern be treated online?

No. A clinician may recommend an in-person examination or another type of care. Norviva’s clinical services are still in development.
